Gerardo, Monza, Italy and President, at PhD School of Translational and Molecular Medicine (DIMET) – University of Milano-Bicocca, Milan, Italy. From Oct. 2013 to Oct. 2019, He was Pro-Rector for International Affairs, University of Milano-Bicocca, Milan, Italy.
Dr. Biondi received his M.D. at the University of Milan, School of Medicine in 1979. He has been a specialist in Pediatrics, the University of Milan in 1982 and a specialist in Hematology, the University of Bari in 1994.
From 1979 to 1982 he was a research fellow in the Laboratory of Human Immunology "M. Negri" Institute, Milan, Italy. He joined the Department of Tumor Immunology, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA, as Research Associate in Pathology from 1982 to 1984. Then he served as Research Associate in the Laboratory of Human Immunology "M. Negri" Institute, Milan, Italy from 1984 to 1986, following being Research Associate in Medicine at the Department of Bioresearch, The Ontario Cancer Institute, Toronto, Canada till 1987.
